Coherent Optical Cores

We have decided to get back to our core technology of tool development rather than core sales. We have interested patent pending technology which can reduce the area of today's coherent optical receivers by 50% or more depending on the design. The main novelty of the architecture is moving the majority of the blocks inside the frequency domain removing the need to convert to and from the frequency domain for the chromatic dispersion equalizer and Jones equalizer. The key aspect of the design is a technique allowing the chromatic dispersion equalizer to be done efficiently by serially combining smaller sections of filters.

At this point in time our preference would be to sell the technology which includes the architecture as well as the CD filter implementation which is completed. A presentation describing the advantages of the architecture can be found at Cohrent Optical Receiver Presentation. Please note that the presentation requires some knowledge of the architecture of an optical receiver.
