Simplifide-User-Manual

Getting Started

Most chip development environments are unique to the company and based on homegrown tools and directory structures. This tool is configurable and should handle any of these environments relatively easily. Many hardware engineers are impatient and just want to get to work immediately. There isn’t much involved in getting Simplifide up and running, but it is strongly recommended to spend a small amount of time looking at the features of the example projects, as well as reading about the project structure before importing your own project.

1.       Setup an Example Suite

2.       Read a short section on the structure of Simplifide

3.       Set up a suite

a.       Using the configurable Directory Structure

b.      Using a list of files in the Design

The preferred method of using this tool is with the configurable directory structure as this method simplifies handling file addition and removal, but the file list also works and might be easier to get started with for most people.
